I really want to get to the point where I can use these  Stix. I used to use walking poles but they are not sufficient anymore. I need the forearm brace. I like the fact that these are ergonomically built and that the crutch tip adapts to varied terrain. Sidestix has a few different adaptable items, the one that caught my eye is the basket for deep snow that can be used while snowshoeing.
